E-News List

Thanks for your interest in the Friends of Huddart and Wunderlich Parks. The Friends are dedicated to environmental education and preserving the environment and historic legacies of two exceptional parks in Woodside, California.

What we do:
  • Folger Estate Stable Museum: Open Saturdays from 10-4 at Wunderlich Park. Come learn about the history of our local landscape and the importance of conserving and protecting our resources.
  • Nature Hikes for Children: Volunteer docents lead K-2nd grade field trips in the redwood forest. Our goal this year is to increase the number of low income students we can bring to the Huddart Park Nature Hikes program for free.
  • Folger School program: Volunteer docents assist the San Mateo County Historical Association on a field trip at the stable for 3rd graders to learn about CA history through engaging hands-on activities.
  • The Folger Stable Speaker Series engages the community and attracts visitors to our parks by bringing experts to speak about diverse topics such as the inspiration local artists get from nature, the amazing biodiversity of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary, and the contributions of Chinese laborers in California after the transcontinental railroad was completed.
  • The Friends also host park clean up days and fundraisers, provide guided historical and hiking tours. We love to partner with you!
